The Eyebrows are approximately 25% darker and bolder than they will be once they are healed. Your skin will be pink or red under the pigment which will cause the color of the pigment to look much darker. Redness, swelling and tenderness is common for the first 12 hours. Tylenol may be taken if this bothers you.
Eyebrows may appear to look much thicker in texture. Scabbing, itching, and peeling will begin. DO NOT pick, exfoliate or scratch. By doing so, you may take off pigments.
Color will finish flaking off and appear up to 40% lighter and grayer for 8 weeks until the color clarifies. Some people will see areas of fading. Sometimes it will look like the pigment is completely gone. THIS IS NORMAL. As your skin heals, this
pigment will be pushed up to the surface and you will begin to see the hairlines again.
You will come in for your 2nd session for touch ups. This appointment is to perfect the work by adding more hair strokes and adjust color to areas that did not take the pigment as well.
AVOID any skincare products that has the words “Acid, Retin-A, Retinol, Glycol” on the area treated! It will eat away at the pigment and fade or discolor your new brows!
Entire healing process will take from 6-8 weeks depending on your body’s regeneration, age, immune system and lifestyle. Sometimes after microblading customers develop dry, flaky skin. It is very important not to rub, pick or peel off your flakes or scabs. Itching is absolutely normal as skin is repairing itself. Never rub the treated area as it will disturb the skin from natural healing process. If you get your brows wet at the beginning of recovery, simply dry it by DABBING area with lint free tissue. NEVER WIPE. The way you take care of your new brows after microblading will have great impact on the way it looks.
Improper care often results in fading or “patchy” brows.
Due to natural skin regeneration, after the recovery period, brows might appear lighter than original. Often, even with proper
care, customers lose original hair strokes which make brows look uneven. It is absolutely normal because your natural skin regeneration is not a process that technician can control. That’s why most clients need a touch up after 6-8 weeks to assure that brows are perfectly even and desired effect was achieved!
