Microblading Aftercare
10 DAYS after microblading care:
-
FIRST HOUR: Pat the area with a CLEAN tissue repeatedly to rid lymph fluid
-
DAYS 1-3: Apply thin layer of aftercare gel packet that was given to you with a cotton swab 3 times a day.
-
DAYS 1-10: using fingertips, GENTLY wash area with mild soap and water morning and night.
-
DO NOT use a washcloth or anything abrasive on your microblading/permanent makeup.
-
Avoid sleeping on your face/brows for the first 10 days.
-
DO NOT GET WET, AND NO SWEATING. Any physical effort, gym, hot weather, any other activity that may cause sweating through or on the brows/permanent makeup will cause the "hairstrokes" to dilute and blur UNDER the skin, THERE IS NO FIXING THIS.
-
DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring, pigment loss, bald spots and infection!
-
COMPLETELY avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure. This can cause the pigment to change color, hyperpigmentation and scarring while it is healing.
-
Avoid pool, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and/or hot baths for 3 weeks.
-
NO makeup or skincare products to be used on the treated area for 2 weeks.
-
NO facials, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
-
After 10 days, once the area has healed completely, consider using sunblock when going out in the sun to stop the color from fading and discoloring.
-
Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for 2 weeks after your procedure.
-
AVOID any skincare products, foundations, primers, etc… that has the words “Acid, Retin-A, Retinol, Glycol” or products that say "long lasting" or "Forever" on the area treated. They will eat away at the pigment and fade or discolor your new brows!!
-
Avoid Retin-A, Chemical Peels and Microderms around the brow area once healed.
-
DISCONTINUE ANY EYELASH/EYEBROW GROWTH SERUM on the brows for 2 weeks after procedure (ex: Latisse, RevitalBrow, Grand Lash, etc…).
-
Always avoid laser treatments over the treated area (fraxel laser, IPL), because they can destroy the pigment and cause burns.
FILLERS SHOULD BE DONE 6 WEEKS PRIOR TO MICROBLADING OR DONE 6 WEEKS AFTER.
BOTOX SHOULD BE DONE 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO MICROBLADING OR 2 WEEKS AFTER .
AVOID POWER SHAKES AND POWER GREENS 3 DAYS PRIOR TO MICROBLADING - CAUSES BLOOD THINNING AND HEAVY BLEEDING (May resume after 10 days or when your skin heals and close up).
